Doing Good Deeds In Praise and Worship

Matthew 5:16 in the Bible goes:
"Let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in Heaven."

But most times, letting our light shine requires effort.

Sometimes choosing to do good -
or doing the right thing-
 can be a challenge,
as doing good for others goes against our selfish nature of doing good for only ourselves.

It's even more difficult when doing certain good things,
goes against our character.

For example, when a man who doesnt like to cook,
decides to make a surprise dinner for his family.

A child who doesnt like to clean their room,
makes it neat and tidy so that their parents will have
a big smile on their faces.

A woman with a sharp tounge when she gets angry,
chooses to only say positive things about others,
and bite her tounge,
even when her feelings tell her otherwise.

A teenager who loves to splurge his money on expensive clothes,
decides to give those funds to a family in need through a charity instead.

The employee who is having a bad day, still decides to smile at their co-workers and
works hard to meet deadlines.

When we offer Our Weaknesses to Christ,
and humble ourselves- asking him to let us do
Good things for Him- He can Change Our Hearts,
so that our actions can be beneficial to others.

But Sometimes it is difficult to do good though,
as it requires SO MUCH effort.

But ultimately- through our Good Deeds-
others will know and feel the Love of The Father.

And if our Goal as a Christian is for others
to know Jesus through us, then we should constantly
be challenging ourselves to Do Only Good For Others.

And if it requires SO MUCH effort to the point
that doing the right thing seems unnatural to us,
that's when we need to take our actions and say
"Im gunna do this in PRAISE of God."

Choosing to do good as an "act of worship" really
inspires us to take our good deeds to the next level,
Because when God knows we are doing this FOR HIM,
so that other people will know Him,
He will give us the strength to do what we need to do.

So, I hope this blog inspires all of us to do the Good difficult things,
in praise and worship of God's name-
so that through our right actions, Christ's light will shine brightly. :)
