Reflecting on Easter Monday

This past Easter Weekend, we remembered on the great suffering Christ went through
to save us from our sins.

The heavy cross he carried and was nailed to,
and the pain he endured for us when his friends left him, even if he was humble and perfect,
and did not deserve to be there...

“He himself bore our sins in his body, on the cross,
so that we might die to sins and live for righteousness" - 1 Peter 2:24

Jesus did this in obedience to God's Plan- enduring pain... so that 3 days later he
could be raised from the dead.... and show the 'Glory of God' - no matter how hard life is.

"Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one's life for one's friends."
- John 15:13

What an amazing love God has for you and I, as shown in the example
of Jesus' pain, suffering, and resurrection.

How did you remember Christ's death on "Good Friday" and
remember his resurrection on "Easter Sunday?" (how Christ defeated death)

Whether it was by pledging your alligiance to Jesus at your local church,
watching a Christian movie (like Son of God or Passion of the Christ),
or even taking in an Easter play (I recommend the Passion plays of The Prayer Palace
or Church on the Queensway)...

I really hope that this past Easter you took in a service that helped you to REALIZE the great love
God has for you... TAP INTO the power of Jesus and Holy Spirit to give you
a life of joy, peace, love, joy, peace, forbearance,
kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control (see Galations 5:22)...
and INSPIRE you to live a life like Christ through our actions.

We are not perfect people..... so many flaws...... so, we can really only rely on Christ's example, spirit, and inspiration to lead us to do greater things.

And if hearing the story of Jesus has not yet inspired your life enough by just
"knowing the Easter story" - and maybe life still isnt "perfect" today -
I encourage you to try being still - and just praying.

In that quiet moment, ask God and the power of Christ to enter your life,
and see what good can things unfold, and how your heart can be changed... coz its THAT powerful.

Happy Easter!
