Making a difference with Christian Friends this Xmas




Jesus says in the bible: 
"Where two or more are gathered in my name, I am there with them."
- Matthew 18:20

This past weekend was like your typical Christmas weekend (with less than 2 weeks till Xmas) - shopping at the malls for last minute presents, watching the Christmas play/concert/musicals at our local church, wrapping and delivering Christmas presents in preparation for the day we celebrate the birth of Christ (Dec 25)...

But what made this past weekend before Xmas different for me and my buddies- was one of my Christian friends had an AWESOME idea while we were Christmas shopping... It was the coldest weekend of December with sub-zero temperatures dipping into the minus 20 range... and here was their idea...

They recommended that we stop into a local coffee shop, pick up a bunch of cups of hot chocolate, stop into the dollar store, buy some toques and candy canes, and hand them out to the homeless. 
I was up for the challenge!

So, we did our shopping, and went out on our quest to find people to hand out hot chocolates, toques, and candy canes to. We also included a little card in each that said "God loves You."
And we prayed that God would lead us to the right people, who needed a smile that day.

We were walking downtown Toronto by Eaton Center. It was a snowy day. And icy cold. Who would be sitting outside begging on the coldest weekend of December???

The first guy we handed out our Xmas stuff to- actually gave it back.  It was a guy with a cardboard sign, sitting by a lamppost in the snow. His sign said "Jobless and Overqualified". He said, we should give our toques and candy canes to someone who needed it more... ok, fair enough.

The next person we handed our hot chocolate and toques and candy canes to had a cardboard sign that said "Spare some change please". He had a red beard/mustache and earrings. He was sitting outside by a store, in the shade, but also in the icy cold.  I can remember the smile on his face when my friend handed him a hot chocolate. Priceless.

We continued on our journey and came across two homeless girls with a cardboard sign that read "Do Not Judge"... They were in blankets and also, sitting on a few steps outside by the mall. They were SO EXCITED and so appreciative of the hot chocolate and toques and candy canes. Mission Accomplished.

And the final fellow we gave our gifts to, he was outside having a smoke. A man with a long beard, also sitting in a corner, out in the cold. I remember saying "God bless you" to him, And he said "God bless You too."

Even if what me and my friends gave was not much... it was encouraging to know that God could challenge us to do something different in our routines to bless others this Xmas.... and we were willing to take part!

It humbles us, and makes us so thankful that God has blessed us with loving, warm homes... not everyone is in the same place (at this moment in time anyways)... I mean, for people to be begging for change outside on the coldest weekend of December...  we don't know what circumstances in their lives would lead them to choose that path...

Either way, we just hope that in our small ways, we could bring the Joy of Christ to others this Xmas season. It really goes to show how friends in the body of Christ can help encourage you to do amazing things for Christ... even if they are simple.

Jesus says in the bible: 
"Where two or more are gathered in my name, I am there with them."

May this blog post be an encouragement to you to DO SOMETHING DIFFERENT this Xmas season, and go out of your way to bless others, together with Your Christian friends...
it's simple, easy, and can really bring meaning to the true reason for Christmas.

On another note, we also saw carolers outside of Eaton Center this past weekend singing songs for the homeless and raising funds that way... pretty creative!  Hope this can give you some cool ideas on how to bless others too this holiday season.

Verses that reflect Nelson Mandela's Life


It says in the Bible in Philippians 4:8...

"Fix your thoughts on what is true, and honorable,
and right, and pure, and lovely, and admirable.
Think about things that are excellent and worthy of praise."

This bible quote really reminds us of the Great Example that Nelson
Mandela lived in his life.

Tomorrow (Dec 10 2013) is the Public Memorial for late former South African
President who fought racism and apartheid.

He was imprisoned for fighting for people's freedoms, and even
after leaving jail after 27 years- he still chose to work alongside
those that imprisoned him, in the interest of pursuing Peace in South Africa.

Wow... you can tell you REALLY want to MAKE A DIFFERENCE in the world,
when you choose to not live with bitterness in your heart,
and choose to work alongside your enemies... to pursue the right thing.

Jesus in Matthew 5:43-48 in the bible says...
"I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you."

I cannot tell you if in fact Nelson Mandela did pray for
those who persecuted him for 27 years- but what WE DO KNOW
is he had the strength to work alongside them,
to pursue Peace and Equality.

That's got to say something about his strong spirit.

As even if it was probably a natural to hold
bitterness in his heart, Mandela rose above resentment, and chose Peace.

How admirable.

Rest in Peace Nelson Mandela. You showed us all a good example
of how to fight for what is right-- and choose to work alongside
those who persecute us, rather than hold bitterness and resentment.

What a great example from one of today's modern day heroes.

Tips to not pack on the pounds this Xmas :)

Welcome to December! Tis the season to be eating!

Here are 5 tips are courtesy of Good Housekeeping Magazine, to not be a "glutton"
at all those Xmas parties, and to stay in shape during the Christmas holidays.

First, Make time for a good workout.
Daily. Such as a 15-20 minute walk or jog everyday.
You'll have lotsa energy-- and the ability to burn
the calories you ate at the Christmas party the night before.

Next, when at the Christmas party,
try to limit your amount of fatty choices.
like, having just 1 or 2 desserts at the buffet... instead of 5.
Or, when you're having turkey, choose to not eat the fatty
skin on it.
Little SMART choices like that can get you
through the holiday season without gaining too much weight.
Maybe have more fruits and veggies if that's available.

Another tip to not overeat at the buffets
is to drink a glass of water, and snack on a couple
of high protein foods like pistachios or almonds
before heading out the door of your home.
The protein and fiber will take the edge off your hunger,
so you're not crazzzzy hungry at a buffet.
And then you can do away with over eating.

Another tip to not pack on the pounds during the
Xmas holidays...
Try chewing on your food at least 20 times.
It takes conscious effort to realize how many times
you chew your food, but when you do this, u develop good
eating habits, because sloooow eating is known to slash
calorie intake by 10 percent.

And finally-- for those who are prone to emotional eating,
just make sure you're surrounded by the people you love
a lot this Xmas season... and it doesn't always have
to be around food! Like u can go xmas shopping together,
volunteer together... etc.

Help the Philippines

The Canadian Government is matching
relief funds to help families affected by
Typhoon Haiyan that struck Visayas, Philippines last week.
 
The death toll is expected to climb to up to 10,000 people
from the country's largest cyclone of the year,
packing winds of up to 300 kilometers an hour.
 
When you donate to Canadian charities that are supporting
relief work in the Philippines,
the government will match your donation,
dollar for dollar from today until December 8th.
 
Some participating Canadian Christian Charities
include Samaritans Purse, World Vision, and Compassion Canada.

"Gawad Kalinga Canada" is a Filipino- Canadian Charity that rebuilds houses
for families in Philippine disaster areas. In English, it means "Give Care".

The Canadian Red Cross is also involved.

Why waste time worrying, what you can use that same time Praying? :)

My friend told me something this past weekend that really stuck with me...

Why waste a single moment worrying- when you can use that time more wisely and productively, by Praying instead, and lifting up your worries to God? So true!

Why keep worries inside to yourself, when Jesus says...

"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened,
and I will give you rest." Matthew 11:28

So... ok, how are we going to surrender all our worries to God, when it's constantly buzzing in our brains?

Try this tactic:  When you have a worrisome thought... make a conscious decision to turn that thought into a prayer. Tell yourself, "thanks for that thought, but I choose to lift that worry to God...  God, thank you for handling that worry for me."

It takes practice and discipline... but as physical muscles are developed through dedicated exercise, our spiritual 'worry-free muscles' can be strengthened when we discipline ourselves and our minds to choose to focus on the amazing things God has for our lives... VS the imperfect, worrisome, hurtful things. Constantly lift, lift, lift up those worries in Prayer. Don't hold them yourself... turn every worrisome thought into a heartfelt prayer of thanks and worship.  It takes discipline, but you can do it!

Here are a couple of bible verses to help out...




Philippians 4:6
Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation,
by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving,
present your requests to God.



Philippians 4:8
Finally, brothers and sisters, whatever is true,
whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure,

if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.

Communication with God

Part of a normal conversation/communication is listening-and-talking.

And the same should be in our daily communication with God... but how?

At church this weekend, the pastor talked about how often when we pray to God,
we do most of the talking... but when we read the bible... we do the listening.

And so in communicating with God- we can both listen to messages He has for us,
and talk to Him- through prayer, and reading the bible.

- How do we know that God listens through prayer? 

Psalm 116 in the Bible says...

"I love the LORD because he hears and answers my prayers. 
He bends down and listens. Therefore I will call upon Him as long as I live."


- How do we know that God speaks to us through Words in the bible?

John 1:1 in the Bible says....
"In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word WAS God."

And God's words in the bible are forever...

"Sky and earth will pass away, but My Words will not pass away."
- Matthew 24: 35

Love is a Choice - A challenge to all Christians

This is a continuation to last week's blog.

To God, love is an everlasting gift that he gives the world- even if they don't know who he is, or doesn't recognize Him in their lives. He is always there for them, and loves them. If they only knew.

Maybe you and I as Christians, can show God's love through our actions.

1 John 4:8 - "Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love."

To humans,  as we are given free will, sometimes love can be disguised "a feeling", and we sometimes choose whether to love other people based on how they make us feel about ourselves.

But if everyone had everlasting, unconditional love for each other- there would be no bullying, no fights, no broken families, no racism or injustice. But that's in a perfect world (perhaps heaven one day?).  We don't live in one right now unfortunately.

So, how is a Christian called to love in this imperfect world?

" Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres" - 1 Corinthians 13:4-7

The Challenge is to make The Choice to display love to others... no matter who they are, where they are from, or how they treat you.

This is not to say that you should tolerate it if another person is showing complete disrespect to you, but that's when we take a deep breath, and pray to God that we would see the world as he loves it, and not how we see it in our human rational ways... and choose to love that person anyways, and treat them the way Jesus would. (rather than respond in a cold way as a normal person would).   

Here's an interesting tactic...

Try saying this out loud, the next time someone challenges you to love them...
(Maybe its an impatient family member, a selfish or irresponsible friend, or even someone who belittles you in front of others)

"Because I Love God, I choose to _______" (whatever the most loving reaction should be).

For example, if someone hurts/belittles/disrespects you, rather than fighting back at them,
you can say...

"Because I love God, I choose to Forgive."

Its amazing how just making that Choice to Love - as Proof of your love for God, can impact your actions and thoughts about the person that hurt you.

And at the end of the day, when you leave this world - you can tell your creator you did your best to love everyone around you- how cool it would be to have lived a life of love for Gods glory!

Finally, would like to end this blog with a few bible verses to remember:

"I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you" - Matthew 5:43-48

"Which is the greatest commandment in the Law?”3Jesus replied: “‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’[a] 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself."

Choosing God, Over Evil

"Whoever sows to please their flesh, from the flesh will reap destruction;
whoever sows to please the Spirit, from the Spirit will reap eternal life." - Galatians 6:7-8


One of the most difficult things to do in our own "human selves",
is to choose to react in a way that is respectful, caring, peaceful, and pleasing to others,
in the middle of terrible situations.


Let me rephrase that for all Christians out there...
One of the most difficult things to do in our own "human selves" as a Christian,
is to choose to react in a way Jesus would- in terrible situations.


It's so difficult to act appropriately in our 'human ways'.
But maybe if we focussed more on the spirit within us VS
our human emotions of bitterness, anger, fear, and sadness...
we can find the Peace & Love- to act in a way Jesus would respond to a situation.


What is the Spirit of God anyways?

Romans 8:26 - "The Spirit helps us in our weakness.
For we do not know what to pray for as we ought,
but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words."


Galatians 5:22-23 : "The fruit of the Spirit is... love, joy, peace,
patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control."


1 Corinthians 6:19:
"Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you,
whom you have from God?"


Wow, isnt it amazing that WE ALL have access to an amazing powerful holy spirit,
that is of God and from God?  The same spirit that lives in Jesus.

Here's another thing... "God is love"
It says so in the bible -
1 John 4:8 - "Whoever does not love, does not know God, because God is love."

"Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast;
it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way;
it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing,
but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things,
believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things. "
-1 Corinthians 13:4-7

Ok... so now we know the definition of what God's love looks like,
and we know there's God's spirit within us.
HOW ON EARTH is this going to help us remove all anger, bitterness, sadness, and all
things we feel inside when people hurt us? How???

CALL ON GOD!
For real.

There's a Holy Spirit in you that has instant access to God.
Its only difficult to respond in a loving way to others,
UNTIL we intentionally place ourselves in a space
where we can MORE EASILY concentrate on and feel God's love for us first.
It provides AMAZING peace!

Because when we can know and feel how much AMAZING Love God TRULY IS for us,
we can more easily give that love to others who have hurt us. And forgive. :)  

Hurt can come in many ways- maybe its that child who didnt respect their
parent, maybe its a spouse who didnt respect the commitment of a relationship,
maybe it's a person who said something offensive to you,
or an unreliable friend who you thought
would always be there for you when you needed help the most- and they werent.

How can we Humanly forgive people who do such terrible things to us???
Naturally, we feel the pain, the hurt, the agony, fear, the revenge, the resentment.

There's a saying that time heals. And it does in our humanness.

But, if you are wanting 'instant' Joy, Peace, Amazing Love, Incredible heights
of God that can make you feel the best you can be- and love others,
IT CAN BE DONE IN GODS SPIRIT- INSTANTLY.

GOD HAS INSTANT HEALING. He proved and showed this in Jesus Christ...
he immediately healed the sick, made the blind see, the mute speak.

So... when we take the time to listen to God in our hearts,
we learn that his message of Love is SO MUCH GREATER in our spirit,
than any human hurt, disappointment, agony, sorrow, and pain.

However... there's a catch...
We need to be constant and diligent about Seeking Gods love.

Otherwise.... we go back to feeling the sadness, anger, and bitterness of the world..
if we dont STAY FOCUSSED. 

We cant just sit around and expect us to feel that inner love of God either,
if we dont ask him for it constantly, over and over.
And not only just asking him... but placing ourselves in areas where it
becomes easier to connect with him, definitely helps.
What areas are these?
It could be in a small group of Christian friends who pray together,
a church where everyone is focussed on Gods love and glory,
It could be in the silence of your own home in prayer,
or maybe even concentrating on God's words in the bible.

Jesus was a perfect example of a man who - as a real human being-
felt strong emotions too.. knowing he would be killed, knowing he would be
offered as a sacrifice, so that he could deliver the message to the world
that GOD is REAL, and the HOLY SPIRIT is within us.

And if God can forgive us, we can forgive others, too.
Jesus words: ""This is my body, which is given up for You.
This is my blood, the blood of the promise.
It is poured out for many people so that sins are forgiven."
Luke 22:19/ Matthew 26:28.

If it doesnt occur to you, after reading that,
that GOD totally and completely loves you, after what Jesus did as the son of God... 
so his spirit can be there to help you ALWAYS- that he even died for you...

I dont know of any other source of true love that is of impactful as that.
If you know of one, feel free to message me and tell me about it.

So... back to the main point of this blog...
Choosing God over evil.

After this lengthy explanation:
In this imperfect world where people will hurt us... or we are tempted to dispise others...
We gotta constanly choose to look up to the cross... which represents a cross of
God the father, God the son Jesus, and God in the holy spirit.

Coz really, really, really I Promise you they will GIVE YOU PEACE AND JOY
if you call on them!
Seriously.
Try it.

But if you're having a hard time calling on Gods spirit...
Go to a place where Others are doing it, and it becomes so much easier.
Go to a church, go to a small group, get a bible and read, listen to Christian music.
DO SOMETHING.

And because we are human- our feelings of bitterness could come back at any
time.... SO KEEP FOCUSSED on God!!!  Be diligent to always seek Him in everything you do.
Constantly remind yourself that he is faithful and loving,
and keep putting yourself in places that will help remind you of that.

Finally, if you've ever wondered why there's so much evil in this world,
read this...

Revelations in the bible says: 12:7-9

"A war broke out in heaven. Angels fought against the dragon,
and the dragon and his angels fought back.
But the dragon was not strong enough, and they lost their place in heaven.
The great dragon was hurled down—
-that ancient serpent called the devil, or Satan, who leads the whole world astray.
He was HURLED TO EARTH, and his angels with him."

(Revelations is a book in the bible also known as the Apocalypse,
 written from the visions of John the Apostle)

It just goes to show we live in an imperfect world. Where evil is pretty much dominant.

But.... if we can constantly access the Spirit of God, we will be guided
to make the better choices that resemble Gods love. :)

And don't worry if its hard to do- because that's' why we NEED God.

We just gotta ASK HIM, SEEK HIM, WELCOME HIM INTO OUR HEARTS, KNOW DEEP DOWN GOD IS GREATER THAN ANY HURT WE FEEL.

That's why he's there.  To guide us to all things good, and eventually to heaven.

God is Love.... Choose God, not evil. :)


In the words of Chris Tomlin: 
"Our God is greater, our God is stronger. God You are higher than any other.
 Our God is Healer, awesome and power, Our God."

Psalm 108:4 - "God's Faithfulness reaches to the Sky."

Words on Friendship from the Audio A Concert



Maple Noise 2013 was in Barrie on Friday night (Sept 13)- and Audio Adrenaline headlined the concert at Timothy Christian. I had seen the band once before in concert in the past, but not with their newest lead singer Kevin Max (formerly of DC talk). Adding him to the mix really makes the band pop, and gives the group a totally new sound that I really, really enjoyed! Glad to have seen them put on a great show!

One thing that makes going to Christian concerts so much different than going to a secular concert, is that almost always: there's an inspirational message thrown into the mix. Kind of like hearing a sermon at church.

On Friday, lead singer Kevin Max shared his testimony of how after his DC Talk days, he decided to pursue a career on his own, and headed to LA. He says he moved away from all friends and family, pretty much in isolation, as he tried to build his career as a mainstream artist.  But in the process, he admitted that he fell into the "darkest, deepest hole" he had ever lived through.

Through his story, he reminded all of us that man indeed is not an island. God built us for fellowship with others, and so we really need to take the time cherish the people God puts into our lives- friends and family and church community.  And spend quality moments with them. As even Jesus had a close group of 12 friends (disciples) whom he confided in.

And of course, Audio A reminds us that God is always there. And it's when we humble ourselves and remember to acknowledge God's presence in our lives, and cry out to him for help- knowing that we cant do it without him - that God is able to direct our paths. :)

A really great message on Friday night.

Reminds us of the bible verse:

Proverbs 11:14
Where there is no guidance, a people falls,
but in an abundance of counselors there is safety.





Here's hoping the message gained from Audio A's show at Maple Noise 2013 can continue to inspire all of us to cherish and take t-i-m-e to nurture the uplifting friendships God has placed in our lives, and to surround ourselves with people who will lift us up- and whom we can inspire as well. :)

Loving Others, even if you dont see eye-to-eye

Ever been so fired up about your faith, but encountered people who really did not understand or believe in the same things?

If you come from a non-Christian household, perhaps the people that you don't see eye-to-eye with in terms of faith, could be the people in your own family. Or maybe it's agnostic friends you have met through work or school or through extra curricular activities.

At church this past weekend, the preacher talked about how Jesus knew that an allegiance to him, would cause some ripples in some relationships (especially with those who have not taken the time to get to know who he is) ...
however, that should not discourage us from loving the way that Jesus did for everyone,
despite differences of opinions. 

Lets look at John 15 in the Bible:
“If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first.
They will treat you this way because of my name,
for they do not know the one who sent me."
- John 15:18-20

When we look at the paragraph before that,
Jesus also specifically instructs his disciples:

"My command is this: Love each other as I have loved you.
Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends."
-John 15:12-13

What an amazing example of love.

Jesus knew that many people of the world didn't believe him.
Many ridiculed him. And all he did when he was alive was perform
miracles and heal the sick, and preach of God's love.

The fact that Jesus knew that the world would hate him,
yet he chose to give up his life for them- because he loved them,
is the greatest inspiration that we can look up to.

Anyone today who has ever felt they had friends or family
who thought that their Christian faith was a joke, should
continue to look at Christ's example... that no matter how people
can ridicule/hate you, or your beliefs, it is our duty to love them, no matter what.
Even if you don't see eye-to-eye.

Because you never know... maybe one day they will understand who God
is, through the loving example that you show them. :) 

Finally remember this verse:
"I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength."
Philippians 4:13.

If Jesus can love people who mocked, ridiculed, and even killed him...
you can have the heart to love those whom you
do not see eye-to-eye with.  It wont be easy, but with Jesus as
the prime example, anything is possible...

Every time I've hit beach this summer, the majority of those spending time by the water and on the sand seem to be young kids and either mom or dad... how relaxing would it be to borrow a book and read a new story together each time you head to the shores?

Easiest ways to memorize a bible verse



First... Pick a verse that applies to something
that's happening in your life right now.
Cause then it becomes easier to remember - when u can relate to it.

Next...
Write it down. And repeat. Write it over and over again until it sticks
in your mind.

And then for the first few days that you're memorizing it,
place the bible verse that you wrote down.
in various places- like your office desk, use it as a bookmark,
or place it on the fridge.  To remind yourself of it.

Try saying the bible verse out loud, and then incorporating the bible verse into
a prayer... while your remembering to say it.
That's also more likely to stick in your mind when you speak it out.

And finally- if you're into music, or you like singing,
try giving the bible verse a melody that is specific to you,
can help in memorization.
this of course, is a lot easier if you are already a singer.

And if you don't sing, you might wana stick with bible verse cue cards
to aid in your memory of bible verses. :)

Burglar's Change of Heart

Some burglars from California had a change of heart after realizing they had stolen computers from a non-profit group that provides support for victims of violence.

A couple of days after notifying police of the robbery, the group got another call reporting of suspicious activity again around their building.

However, when they went to see what was going on,
instead of finding the burglars, they found a shopping chart full of the items that were stolen the previous day. Inside one of the returned laptops was a note of apology...

Ways to Praise God, even in Tough Times



Whenever I ask fellow Christians, what is the best way to stay grounded in a stressful or difficult situation... a surprising answer from them is to just simply: Praise God.

As Casting Crowns sing... "I will Praise You in the Storm".

But, how is it humanly possible to honour and worship our creator, maker, and best friend when we "feel" like the tides have turned against us? 

What methods can we use to still have a worshipful heart towards our Heavenly Father, even when our hearts seem heavy?

The website 'What Christians Want to Know dot com' has posted a list of ways that can help focus your mind, heart, and spirit to praise our maker, no matter what hardship you are going through...

1. Just Pray. Talk to God.

2. Listen or Sing Worship Songs

3. Spend quiet time reading the bible

4. Try Fasting

5. Ask for forgiveness and forgive others.

Remember the bible commands us to : "Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with
all your soul and with all your strength and with all your mind'; - So let's take that on as a challenge... oh- and, also 'Love your neighbor as yourself.'"

God knows every detail about you... so even when we go through tough times in this 'imperfect' world, just know what it says in the bible in Psalm 18: "As for God, His ways are perfect."

And never forget Jeremiah 29:11 'For I know the plans I have for you," declares the LORD, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.'

And finally: James 4:8 "Draw near to God, and God will draw near to you."

Baby Car Seat Common Mistakes


So brand-new parents Will and Kate are being given some trouble
this week from the media about having newborn baby Prince George
strapped in incorrectly to his child car seat.
 
Let's just consider this a learning experience for all new parents,
that I'm sure everyone can benefit from.
 
Here are some things to look out for in the future...
 
 

1. Keeping a baby wrapped in a blanket does not
secure the newborn safely into his/her car seat harness.
If parents need to use a blanket, it should go over 
the car seat straps, and not under.

2. Make sure those seatbelts are snug on the baby.
The picture of baby George's seatbelt looked a little too roomy.

3. Children should be facing backwards in their child car seat
in the back seat, up until 2 years old. Airbags in the front seats
are too dangerous for babies.

On that note, things have really come a long way since Prince William was born.  Princess Diana carried him into the car in her arms for the drive home back in 1982.

The Canadian band is made up of vocalist Jodi King and her husband, bass player Chris Rademaker.

Its not out on CD... yet. Their self titled debut album comes out next month on Aug 27.

Saved from a parking ticket, phew!




One Ontario parking officer has shown compassion toward  a troubled motorist.
Ottawa Official Jim Walton responded to a motorist who left a desperate note on their car after being locked out last Tuesday.
He decided to not ticket them, and also left a kind note to the driver. How nice.
