Help the Philippines

The Canadian Government is matching
relief funds to help families affected by
Typhoon Haiyan that struck Visayas, Philippines last week.

The death toll is expected to climb to up to 10,000 people
from the country's largest cyclone of the year,
packing winds of up to 300 kilometers an hour.

When you donate to Canadian charities that are supporting
relief work in the Philippines,
the government will match your donation,
dollar for dollar from today until December 8th.

Some participating Canadian Christian Charities
include Samaritans Purse, World Vision, and Compassion Canada.

"Gawad Kalinga Canada" is a Filipino- Canadian Charity that rebuilds houses
for families in Philippine disaster areas. In English, it means "Give Care".

The Canadian Red Cross is also involved.

Thanks in advance for your generosity.
